Medicine from the Asian mountains.
The news about wonderful medicine for everything, that is mumio, appeared in Poland for the first time not long ago. Currently, mumio is becoming known thanks to the interest in the medicine of Far East, where it has been long highly valued.
- It is true - says Sainjargal Byambasuren, called dr Sena, who had her diploma from National Medical University in Ulan Bator recognised in Poland, but nevertheless is still active as a specialist in Eastern medicine.
Aristotle and Avicenna knew the pluses of mumio. Prepared from it ointments and balsams were as highly valued as gold. That was mainly due to the fact that mumio was to be found in hardly accessible places - high in the Asian mountains. Places of its appearance were kept secret. In some languages of the people who know mumio, the specific translates as ‘juice', ‘blood', ‘monster' or ‘mountain wax'. It has not been found out how mumio is prepared. Its chemical composition is not fully discerned either, but the drug is known to comprise 30 micro and macro elements, 10 amino acids, B, C and A vitamins, essential oils and bees' venom. It is assumed that mumio consists of approx. 50 good for health, composed by nature, components. Mumio has a form of dark, gluey substance which is transformed into particular medicines for internal or external usage - balsams and ointments or little rice-size balls For a long time they have been used to treat breaks and bruises. In more contemporary times mumio was found out to be advantageous for liver, stomach and circulatory system. It can be also used for sore throat, simple cold, running nose or upper airways infection. Is helps for paradontose as well. Apart from these, it generally strengthens human body, immune and nerve system, adds energy and vital powers. In some cases it can be used for prevention. Mumio is also a perfect revitaliser. It accelerates recovery, helps with over fatigue and weakness. In such cases, according to dr Sena, it is worth accompanying mumio with acupuncture or one of its types: electroacupuntcure, stimulated with current, or audioacupuncture involving pricking needles in ear. Such a combined therapy works good for nervous people or those of older age. Mumio should be used under control of a specialist.
Dr Sena warns against the unchecked sources of this specific. E.W.
